Accreditation and Registration

The Apprentice School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. All apprenticeships offered by the Apprentice School equal or surpass state and federal standards for apprenticeship certificates. They are registered with the Virginia Apprenticeship Council and the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training of the U.S. Department of Labor. The program is approved for veteran's benefits. Northrop Grumman Newport News is a charter member of the American Apprenticeship Round Table - a national association of management representatives from apprentice programs in America industry. Next Reaffirmation is 2010.
