Advancement in the apprenticeship wage schedule is based on the
length of participation in the apprentice program. All overtime
hours go towards your hours worked. The starting pay for hourly
wage for apprentices as of January 2011 is $16.87.
Apprentice will receive a pay raise every 500 hours
worked. The top out pay at the end of your apprenticeship completion
is $22.45 an hour. You will attend class 1 day per week for 4.5 hours
and you will receive pay for the first 3 hours provided you worked
that day. Additional benefits currently available to apprentices
include paid vacations, paid holidays, pension plan, medical plans,
life insurance, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance,
and social security benefits.
